Refunds on a crypto-paid API work differently from card refunds. This page states the rule, then runs it on three real pack sizes so there is no guesswork.

**Quick answer — Can I get a refund on SerpCrypto search credits?**

Yes, as a credit to your **SerpCrypto** balance. Within 72 hours of purchase, a credit pack is credited back to your balance if you used less than 20% of its searches. A pack that does not work, and that support cannot fix within 24 hours, is credited back in full. Top-ups are credited to your balance and are not paid back, except where the law requires it; the part added only to reach the minimum top-up is refundable on request within 30 days, in USDT or USDC, if unspent. Unused credits never expire, so a pack you keep is never wasted.

## What is the rule, in three parts?

1. **Changed your mind early.** Within 72 hours of buying a pack, if you used less than 20% of its searches, the pack goes back to your balance.
2. **The pack does not work.** If your requests fail and support cannot fix it within 24 hours, the pack goes back to your balance in full, however long ago you bought it.
3. **Top-ups stay as balance.** A top-up is credited to your balance and is not paid back in crypto, except where the law requires it. One exception: the part added only to reach the $25 minimum is refundable on request within 30 days, in USDT or USDC, if unspent.

Failed searches never need a refund: they are not charged in the first place.

## Example 1: a pack used lightly in the first days

You buy 100,000 searches for $56.25. After two days you have run 12,000 searches, which is 12% of the pack, and you decide the API does not fit your project. You ask for a refund on day two.

The pack is inside the 72-hour window and under the 20% threshold, so it is credited back to your balance. You can then use the balance for any other pack later.

## Example 2: a pack past the threshold

You buy 25,000 searches for $18.75 and run 8,000 searches on the first day. That is 32% of the pack, above the 20% threshold, so this pack is not refundable.

Nothing is lost, though: the remaining searches never expire. They stay on your account until you use them, next week or next year.

## Example 3: a small pack paid with the minimum top-up

You buy 10,000 searches, which costs $7.50, with a top-up of $25. The difference between $25 and $7.50 was added only to reach the minimum.

If you do not spend that difference, you can ask for it back within 30 days of the payment, paid in USDT or USDC. If you spend it on another pack instead, it simply becomes part of that purchase.

## How do I ask for a refund?

Use the support form in the client area, or write to support@serpcrypto.com with your order ID. Say which rule applies and, for a pack that does not work, give one or two request IDs from `search_metadata.id` and the error codes you received.

We never ask for your account number or your API key by email or chat. Your order ID is enough for us to find the purchase. Email replies within 12 hours, 7 days a week, including help with API integration.

## Why are refunds paid to the balance and not to my wallet?

A crypto payment cannot be reversed like a card payment, and sending coins back costs network fees and needs a wallet address we can trust. A credit to the balance costs you no network fee and needs no address. The balance keeps its value: Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, and it pays for search credits. When a purchase costs less than the minimum top-up, the part added only to reach the minimum is refundable on request to support within 30 days of the payment, in USDT or USDC, as long as it has not been spent. The rest of the balance is not paid back, except where the law requires it.

## Refund questions

### Are failed searches refunded?

They do not need to be. 1 credit = 1 successful search request, which returns one page of results on any supported engine. A request that fails is not charged. If many requests fail for a long time and support cannot fix it within 24 hours, the whole pack is credited back to your balance.

### Does a refund need identity documents?

No. SerpCrypto asks for no ID, selfie or company documents, for a purchase or for a refund. The order ID identifies the purchase.

### Do consumer protection laws change this policy?

Where a law gives you stronger rights, such as a withdrawal right for consumers, that law applies and this policy does not reduce it. The policy states the minimum we offer every customer, everywhere.
