What does DataForSEO's queue mean in practice?
It means you trade waiting time for price. DataForSEO states three modes for its Google SERP API: a standard queue at $0.0006 per page with a turnaround of "5 minutes on average", a priority queue at $0.0012 with "up to 1 minute on average", and live mode at $0.002 with "up to 6 seconds on average".
For a nightly rank-tracking job, a 5-minute delay rarely matters. For an AI agent or a user waiting on a screen, only live mode fits, and live mode costs $2.00 per 1,000 pages.
Which extras change the bill?
DataForSEO prices several options on top of the base page. Its task documentation lists an extra $0.0006 for loading an asynchronous AI Overview, $0.00015 for each People Also Ask click, and a charge multiplied by 5 for queries that use search operators such as site: or intitle:. Since 19 September 2025 it bills per 10 results, so depth 100 costs 10 times depth 10.
SerpApi counts one search whatever the number of results, and does not count cached, errored or failed searches. It notes that Google sometimes requires an additional request to retrieve AI Overview results; whether that request is billed is not stated on the page we read. On SerpCrypto, a page of results is one credit, with operators in the query and the AI Overview when Google shows one.
