Quick answer

What is a SERP API used for?

A SERP API turns a search engine's results page into JSON that software can read. Teams use SerpCrypto to give AI agents a web search tool, track rankings, check local results city by city, monitor prices, follow news about a brand and research keywords. Every engine costs one credit per successful search, from $0.30/1K searches as of October 2026, paid in crypto with no KYC.

Which use case is closest to yours?

Which engine does each use case need, and how many searches?

Typical setups and their monthly searches. A month is 30 daily checks, 4 weekly checks or 720 hourly checks.

How do I estimate the searches my project needs?

Multiply the number of queries by every dimension you repeat them on: pages, locations, devices and checks per month. Each combination is one search and one credit.

searches = queries × pages × locations × devices × checks

Then pick the smallest pack that covers one to three months. Credits never expire, so buying ahead does not waste money if your project slows down. A failed search returns an error and is not charged, which keeps the estimate honest even on a bad day.

Which parameters change the results the most?

Location and language change results more than anything else. A query run with gl=us and one run with gl=gb can share few results, and local intent queries change again from one city to the next.

  • gl and hl: set them for every search; the defaults are the United States and English.
  • location: essential for local SEO and local rank tracking, optional elsewhere.
  • device: mobile pages often order blocks differently; track it when mobile traffic matters.
  • period: keeps only recent pages or stories, which agents and news monitors need.
  • page: each extra page is one more credit, so set the depth you really need.

The locations and languages page lists the codes for common markets.

What do these six workflows share?

They all need the results page as a person in a given place sees it, in a format code can read. That is what a SERP API provides: one request, one results page, as JSON.

They also share the same billing on SerpCrypto. Every engine costs one credit, credits never expire, and you pay in BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC with no ID, no selfie and no card. One key and one balance serve every project, and you can create separate keys per project to keep usage apart.

Which pack covers my use case?

Small projects start with 10,000 searches ($7.50); most of the setups in the table fit in 100,000 searches ($56.25) for one to three months, as of October 2026.

SERP API use cases: common questions

Can one account serve several projects?

Yes. API keys you can create and revoke at any time from your dashboard. Give each project its own key, so you can see which one uses your credits and revoke one without touching the others.

Do different engines cost different amounts?

No. Google Search, Google News, Google Images, Google Maps, Google Shopping and Bing all cost one credit per successful search on SerpCrypto.

Is there a use case you do not allow?

Yes. Not allowed: Searches meant to find, track or harass a private person, child sexual abuse material, spam, fraud, and any use that breaks the law where you or we operate. The Acceptable Use Policy has the full list.

Do I need to be a developer?

Some code helps, but the quick start gets a first result with a single curl command. No-code tools that can call an HTTP endpoint, such as workflow builders, work too.
